Many thanks Jim M. Duly altered....you may have guessed that some of the dates are guesswork because no information accompanies some of the photographs, so I'm relying on you to help out. Thanks again, and please keep checking the details.

The picture was taken when the shop was converted to a coffee shop by Lois and Bill Reid who purchased the whole building from Mr & Mrs Donald Gilles in 1981. We sold the coffee shop part to Julia Lawson. We sold off various parts of the building over the years. The last part being sold in 1997 and is currently trading as the Cheery Cup. Incidentally when we initially purchased the building we inherited two sitting tenants namely Willie (Speedy)and Jeanie Mitchell. Apparently Jeannie had gone to School from Dashwood and had lived in the building for over 70 years. Willie her brother was a retired watchmaker and one of the village "characters" of his time.
