Tibbie was Jimmy McHardy's faithful sheepdog who won many prizes. Jimmy McHardy wrote this tune after Tibbie was knocked down and killed by a car on the A944 between Whitehouse and Alford whilst driving sheep to market. He was heartbroken at the loss of his friend and Tibbie was laid to rest on the Whitehouse Estate, her grave marked by a stone.....somewhere!
