Thank you. With this photo and Photo 862, I was able to show my wife the first photos she has ever seen of her Grandfather Alexander Smith. Now if I could only find a pic of her grandmother "Maggie Dunn Smith" and one of the Railroad Cottage in Alford, it would really make her day.

Re the descendant of Alexander Smith. I am the great granddaughter of Alexander, through his son John and if Raymond contacts me I have photos of his wife Margaret Dunn and many of their descendants.

Alexander Smith. I am the great grandson of Alexander, through his son Alexander, and found the picture above thanks to cousin Kathleen. I have in my possession a wallet presented to my great grandfather on his retirement from the railways on 26th June 1918, after 41 years service.

Can anyone tell me if A. Adam back row far left is Alexander Adam who married Patricia Alexina Isobel Emslie in 1916? Alexander was killed 16 October 1918 & is buried at Etaples. He was the son of Alexander & Jeanie Adam. Alexander senior was a Station Master.
