There is to be a Lawson Clan Gathering on the 27th/28th March in Alford to coincide with the renovation and operation of Postie Lawson's Craigevar Express at the Grampian Transport Museum. Just a brief note to apologise for the delay in adding new photographs, either sent by email or left at Alford Heritage Centre for scanning, I'm having a few problems with my rather old but, until now, fairly reliable computer. Like me, it's having a few problems with its memory, so until I can sort this out a bit of a log jam has built up......doh!

On Saturday 26th September 2009, Aberdeenshire Council are sponsoring free entry to the museum and a whole host of events, hopefully to include an opportunity to view some of the old photographs from this website stored digitally, a chance to research your ancestors with the help of Aberdeenshire Registry Officials, James Gordon to talk about the railway in Alford, bothy ballads and fiddle tunes in the chaumer and lots more to be announced later including a farmers' market.
