Beautiful scenery. My grandparents, James Grassic Begg and Jane Ann (Thomson) were tenants of the Den farm from about the time they married in June 1909. Their 5 children were born there begining with Annie Mary in 1910, Jane (Jean) in 1912, Margaret Watt Thomson in 1913, George Thomson (my father) in 1915 and Alice in 1917. James died there in Nov. 1928 and Jane Ann moved shortly afterwards to Miltonbank, O,Neil Corse.
